Making Meetings Matter

'Is it really necessary?'

That's the first question to ask about any meeting you are planning.  Do you have to have it?  If there isn't a really good reason for getting people together in person then why not find another way to do the work - via email, Skype, concall?

Because when people do take time out to meet the experience should be as creative, useful and time-efficient as possible.

This is time that you and others are taking out ahead of pressing duties and priorities: time you want to justify in terms of results.  How do we define the results?
