The 3-Day Thinking Partnership Programme, 13th & 14th March and 15th April 2019

March 13 - March 14

What is the Thinking Partnership Programme?

A 3-day introduction to and experience of the power of the Thinking Partnership Session.

The Thinking Partnership Session is calm, safe and generative.  It is a space deliberately created by two people, where the thinking is owned by one, the Thinker.  It offers a profound capacity for individual self-discovery and decision-making.  It is both a powerful self-development tool and increasingly regarded as essential coaching expertise.  This highly participatory 3-day course teaches this process in depth.

How do the days work?

Using the Thinking Session in real time and with participants alternating as Thinkers over the 3 days, we will using the live sessions to demonstrate and illustrate how the ‘unwavering context’ of the Ten Components works,  while being wholly respectful of the active thinking.  Above all we notice how we think in waves, and arrive at pauses which are rich in possibility.

We will identify the different ‘routes’ possible (eg Action, Feeling, Activity) and discover exactly what meets the needs of the Thinker in each pause,  exploring Assumptions and creating Incisive Questions while using Rounds so that everyone is involved in developing each session.

Frequent reflection on how the Thinking Partnership Session works so beautifully to liberate the human mind integrates and embeds the learning over the three days.  During the interval between the first two days and day 3 about a month later you will have time to practice what you’ve noticed as a Thinker and Thinking Partner so you return on Day 3 with ‘live’ scenarios and questions about your discoveries.

What are the aims and objectives of the Programme?

  • To explore all Ten Components of a Thinking Environment® & how they apply to individual thinking
  • To have time to think with precision about issues of importance to you while experiencing the Thinking Partnership session in all its depth and complexity, including creating Incisive Questions
  • To become familiar with the ‘waves and pauses’ of our thinking, able to identify what is needed in the moment and to ask questions that meet that need, all deriving from the Time to Think body of knowledge.

To leave enthusiastic about and confident in this powerful way of being as a listener.
