NB This is a 3-day programme: the third day is 28th October 2020.
What is The Thinking Partnership?
The Thinking Partnership Session is a calm, safe and generative space created by two people, in which the thinking is owned by one. It offers a profound capacity for individual self-discovery and decision-making. It is both a powerful self-development tool and increasingly regarded as essential coaching expertise. This highly participatory 3-day course teaches this process in depth.
How does the Programme work?
During days 1 and 2 each participant will experience their own first Thinking Session (with Ruth as Thinking Partner), noticing how it is that we think in waves and pauses, and the difference between ‘listening to reply’ and ‘listening to ignite’. Timing out regularly to identify, explore and reflect on the Ten Components of the Thinking Environment and to discuss the findings that underpin and support the Session and the Session questions, each participant will consider and ask questions in turn in open demonstrations. This is rich, experiential learning.
On day 3 we use the day to fulfill as deeply as possible the specific questions and requirements of each participant while developing expertise and practice, and we will consider what’s next as practitioners.
What are the aims of the Programme?
- To explore all Ten Components of a Thinking Environment® & how they apply to individual thinking
- To have time to think with precision about issues of importance to you while experiencing the Thinking Partnership session in all its depth and complexity, including creating Incisive Questions
- To observe and understand the phenomenon of waves of thinking, the pauses, the unspoken needs of the Thinker and the questions that address those needs. This is supported by the profound and reliable Thinking Environment findings, evolved over many years of experiential practice.
- To notice how this way of being is supported by current neuroscientific research
Course fee: £990, including all refreshments, lunches and beautiful Time to Think materials
