The Thinking Partnership Programme BLENDED: In Person 2nd and 3rd April and Online on 23rd and 24th April 2025
2 April 2025 - 24 April 2025
£1090The Thinking Partnership Session is a calm, safe and generative space created by two people, in which the thinking is owned by one. It offers a profound capacity for individual self-discovery and decision-making. It is both a powerful self-development tool and increasingly regarded as essential coaching expertise. This highly participatory blended course teaches this process in depth, with the added benefit of spending two days together in person, and two shorter days online to finish the programme.
‘It has challenged me in a positive way to be the Thinking Environment in all that I do and this has led to a flood of unsolicited positive feedback from clients since successfully adopting the Thinking Environment principles. Business is excelling and satisfaction from clients is humbling. I am deeply grateful for this knowledge and expertise.’ Calie Cronin, Executive Coach

How does the Programme work?
Each participant will experience their own first Thinking Session (with Ruth as Thinking Partner) during the first days. This experience shows us so much about how we think in many mini-waves, pausing at times before beginning again – and about what happens in those pauses. We learn how to navigate the pauses, offering exactly what the Thinker needs in order to keep thinking as and for themselves.
We demonstrate again and again the vital, critical difference between ‘listening to reply’ and ‘listening to ignite’, and the astonishing power of the promise not to interrupt.
Moving on through further sessions we ‘time out’ regularly to identify, explore and reflect on each of the Ten Components of the Thinking Environment and to discuss the findings that underpin and support the Session and the Session questions. Each participant will consider and ask questions in turn in open demonstrations.
This is rich, experiential, life-enhancing learning that also offers you the opportunity for some richly real thinking of your own.
Building up knowledge and skill over each session, we meet on the final morning to review the Session and our learning, and to consider what’s next as practitioners.
What are the aims of the Programme?
- To identify and explore all Ten Components of a Thinking Environment® & how they apply to individual thinking: Attention, Ease, Equality, Difference, Place, Information, Encouragement, Feelings, Appreciation, Incisive Questions
- To have time to think with precision about issues of importance to you while experiencing the Thinking Partnership session in all its depth and complexity, including creating Incisive Questions
- To observe and understand the phenomenon of waves of thinking, the pauses, the unspoken needs of the Thinker and the questions that address those needs. This is supported by the profound and reliable Thinking Environment findings, evolved over many years of experiential practice.
- To notice how this way of being is supported by current neuroscientific research
NB: This course is the pre-requisite for the Time to Think Coaching Course leading to a qualification.
