Coaching

Ruth generates clear, original, decisive thinking in people.  Her warmth and her rigour, her skill and her presence are extraordinary.”

Nancy Kline, Time to Think

What kinds of challenges are you thinking about at the moment? A new job, a big decision, a major change? Are you at a crossroads in your career, or life?

What would happen if you gave time now to thinking through every aspect so that you become crystal clear about what you need to do next?

People find that as they think it through with me they make the best choices, avoid making mistakes, save precious time and find their way to a solution that works well for them.

These are real results.

Typically I work with

  • those considering major life changes such as starting a new business, creating a new partnership, moving countries, or retirement
  • executives experiencing overload in any situation and seeking new energy and clarity
  • people in any challenging situation looking for fresh thinking in a safe environment

We achieve this during a series of thinking/coaching sessions.

This is coaching that gets you where you want to go because it is always focused on you. This is how you can save time, money and energy and discover exactly where you want to be.

Cadi Jones, Commercial Director EMEA at Beeswax, says    As a 1:1 coaching client of Ruth’s, I’ve really benefited from the safe space that she provides. Ruth used gentle and yet specific questioning to help me dig into the assumptions that were holding me back. Her focused attention helped me to find time in my day to focus on what was most important to me, and remove the obstacles that I was putting in place for myself. The coaching sessions with Ruth helped me to find clarity into what I was allowing to hold me back – AND the will and energy to address them. I’m so grateful to Ruth for the clarity and lightness I now feel around the issues we discussed. It’s hard to put a price on the clarity of thought that the sessions have brought to me. Thank you!

Case Studies

Kate Long, Graphic Designer on her experience of a thinking session with Ruth:

Before we met for our thinking session what had you imagined it might be, and what might have stopped you from doing it?

I was intrigued, and a bit apprehensive as I didn’t really have a clue as to what it would be like. I was a bit worried that I hadn’t decided on a good topic to think about.

During the thinking session did anything surprise you?

It was amazing how much I could think about in a single session. It didn’t matter which topic I chose because they all linked together so I ended up thinking about them all, which made so much sense.

What was the most useful discovery?

Issues which I have always felt are obstacles looming ahead of me in my future suddenly disintegrated into almost nothing during the session, which feels like a massive weight off my shoulders. After the coaching I felt much happier and content with who I am and where I see my life going, and I started some really inspiring new ideas for the future, which is really exciting!!

Would you recommend this style of coaching to a friend or colleague and if so, why?

Yes, I will definitely recommend this. I think that clear thinking coaching would have a very different positive effect every time you go depending on what issues are relevant to you at the time, which is why I would do it again and also recommend it to others. Weeks later I still feel like I have sudden moments of discovering something as a result of the thinking I started in the session.
